BETER . Spanish safety razors and blades since 1950

INDUSTRIAS BETER was born in 1936, in Spain, as the result of the enterprising "Rojo" brothers who started the family business manufacturing metal trimmings in Vilafranca del Penededés (Barcelona). The production of the first Beter razor blades "mano negra" began in the 1940s, which would become very popular, especially through original press advertisements.

In the 1950s, the company began to manufacture razor blades under different brands: KIRA, MANO NEGRA, FLOR DE LIS and to commercialize them in drugstores through a wide network of salespeople.
In the 1960s, Beter complemented its range of razor blades with other personal care products, especially aimed at the male public: safety razors, straight razors, scissors, nail clippers, travel bags and other manicure items.
