This model was manufactured in France and was advertised as "Gillette monoblock". In the advertisements the model number appeared as No. 55.
Among collectors, for years, this model has also been called HD 750, due to its price, which was 750 french francs. The acronym HD corresponds to "heavy duty" due to its high weight, since other similar Rocket models were partially made of aluminum, called MD or LD (medium duty or light duty).
